Laaureato, published by Girard-Perregaux in 1975, was one of the forerunners of the luxury sports guard. The Laureato was redesigned for the fifth time in 2016 and 2017 and is now the best -selling collection of the brand. The classic 42 mm-time-and-datum model is returning this summer with a fascinating gray-grandaemaema dial for a noble monochromatic look.
Three years after the Royal Oak, but long before the Nautilus, the 1975 Laaureato produced a fully integrated bracelet, a round dial, an octagonal bezel, a tonn -based housing and a slim quartz movement. In addition to the unwritten mandates regarding the fall architecture of a luxury sports clock, the dials of the early luxury sports clocks, including the Laureato, often showed textures. Since its comeback in 2017, the Laureato collection (predominantly) has been marked in a variety of colors by its stamped Clous de Paris/Hobnail digit sheets.
The Gray dial of the new reference is increased with Grand Feu enamel, a prestigious Métiers d'Art, that of Donzé Cadrans, a master's email from the Sowind group, to which GP belongs, with Grand Feu -email, a respected Métierts -D'Art -D'ART. The first step is to create the Sunray motif that comes from the middle of the dial. Almost like a complicated spider web, the rays of size increase when they reach the circumference. The next step is to use consecutive layers of melting, typically between five and ten, which are fired in an oven, the temperatures of 800 ° C reach. As every master knows – many things can go wrong during the shooting process, including bubbles and cracks. The beauty of the Grand Feu -aille lies in its brilliant finish and incredible resistance to fade.
The Hypnotic Gray Grand Feu -aille -Zeifferblatt plays with the light and creates subtle color variations. For a more elegant, upscale presence, the minute track was removed, the rhodium indices and the hands of Baton not treated with luminescent material, and the date window at 3 a.m. has a cross-colored disc in harmony with the dial.
As with other Laureatos made of stainless steel, the architecture of the 100 m-water-resistant housing is highlighted with a mixture of satin-broken and polished surfaces. The 42 mm tonneau-shaped housing measures 10.68 mm high and is decorated with a horizontal brushed surface with beveled edges. The octagonal Hallmark bezel, which sits on a polished base, has a circular finish. The elegant integrated bracelet reflects the surfaces with brushed external connections and brightly polished central connections.
The Sapphire Caseback reveals GP of the GP caliber GP01800, a slim automatic movement with a thickness of only 3.97 mm, a 4-Hz frequency and a robust performance reserve of 54 hours. The attractive decorative surfaces include the circular Côtes de Genève on the Rosa Goldrotor the straight Côtes de Genève on the bridges as well as mirror -polished screws, beveled edges and Peryl on the main plate.
