Since the introduction of the first production model of the brand, the Resence of Type 1 has fully focused on its orbital display, which indicates the time on slim, contemporary, almost minimalist way without hands. The introduction of type 8, the most focused model of the brand, only strengthened this feeling with a dial with just a central minute indication and a lower-dial for the hours. However, this unique representation also proved to be highly susceptible to creativity and offers space space to express their art. The latest in the line is Daniel Engelberg, a sculptor and painter based in Munich, who brings his touch on the Ressence Type 8.

For the latest piece in the Art Watch series, Resence gave the German artist Daniel Engelberg freedom. He rubbish his pieces of wood, paint them in living acrylicists and seal them under shiny epoxy resin, which leads to an undeniable structural rhythm. In its characteristic “Inside Out” series, concentric circular shapes and gentle color gradients flow from a deep black core, which creates an illusion of perspective that draws the eye inwards.
If you now take a closer look at some of the work of Engelberg, especially in this “Inside Out” series, you can see these hardness, and it should connect because the dial of type 8 feels more than appropriate to maintain such sculptural treatment. It is almost as if the works of art would be to implement them on a dial when looking at a race and then trying. The basis for this new series is the resistance type 8, one by far the most elegant and minimalist of the brand's portfolio. The clock is an ultra-smooth pebble made of titanium and arched sapphire crystal with a diameter of 42.9 mm and a thickness of 11 mm.
