First look – the new Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Pf Sport Chronograph Rose Gold Sandstone

Parmigiani is ready for the long summer days and nights and releases a stylish edition of his Tonda PF Sport Chronograph in rose gold with warm Mediterranean sandstone poles (without date window!) The Tonda PF Sport was planned as a replacement for the Tonda GT collection and was introduced in 2023. While she is borrowing strongly from Tonda Pf -Design -Cues, it is equipped with a sportier, resilient character. The new Tonda PF Sport Chronograph in Roségold is a pretty “weekend guard” and offers the typical pawn of the Tonda PF, but is not made in platinum and has fewer cuts (160 compared to 225), which gives the clock a brave person.

The beautiful, tear-shaped tabs and chronograph pushers refer to the Tonda PF, but the dimensions of the housing 42 mm x 12.9 mm-Sind intentionally sporty (not to be confused with the first 42 mm-tonda pf-chronograph or the new, more compact 40 mm-tonda PF-Chronograph without date). In combination with an enlarged measuring crown for a better handle, the housing is decorated with alternating brushed and polished surfaces and is water -resistant at 100 meters.

A novelty that many fans of PF is liked is the lack of a date window that used to be positioned on the dial at 4:30 a.m. The only branding that is visible on the dial is the elegant rosé gold oval Pf -Kartusche, which is applied at 12 noon.

All Tonda PF sports models are equipped with rubber belts. As you can imagine, there is a lot of thought that your design creates a “Sartorial” cheat belt that looks more elegant than conventional, injected straps. In accordance with the warm summer spirit of the watch, the color tufo or tuff selected for the belt – the porous, pale rock, which is formed by volcanic ash, which is plentiful in Mediterranean landscapes. The high -quality rubber has a woven textile surface that resembles Cordura.

While the general mood of this watch conveys an airy, summer atmosphere with light, off-white tones, it is easy to forget that it is a very competent, high-frequency chronograph that is powered by the automatic PF070. In cooperation with the sister company Vaucher Manufacture, the movement has a modern, relatively compact 30.6 mm construction with a thickness of 6.95 mm. Equipped with a column wheel, a vertical coupling and a one-piece reset hammer, it beats with a high frequency of 5 Hz and delivers a robust 65-hour electricity reserve. COSC certified chronometer is beautifully made by hand and has a solid 22 km rotor from rose gold.
