The Belisar Chronograph Moon phase has long been one of the characteristic watches of Union Glashütte and combines Saxon craftsmanship with the attraction of a complete calendar and moon display. In 2023, the Belisar Chronograph line received a welcome refreshment with slimmer proportions, more angular bezels and a new emphasis on readability. This year, the normally classic Belisar Chronograph Moon phase gets a touch of casualness and modernity by welcoming two versions of steel and steel gold versions with good-looking midnight blue dials.
Union Glashütte brought the chronograph moon phase into harmony with this updated aesthetics and is now introducing two new editions. The latest references in stainless steel or steel with 18 karat rose gold accents are available, the formula with a midnight blue-sun-sun-dial, applied indices and warm metal accents that highlight the classic character of the complication.
With a diameter of 42 mm and a thickness of 14.8 mm with a span of 50.6 mm with a rank-to-lug range of 50.6 mm, the new housing offers improved portability, while the brand brand construction code from Belisar maintains: screwing case flanks, a robust 100 m water resistance and sapphir crystals at the front and back. The flanks and the bezel are made from either polished stainless steel or solid 18K-rose gold for a two-tone effect. Rectangular pushers with soft corners and the classic corrugated crown complete the profile.
The Sunburst Midnight Blue Dial is improved by applied pink -colored colored indices and a harmoniously arranged layout. The sub-dial combines a 30-minute chronograph switch with day and monthly windows, while 9 o'clock hosts seconds and a 24-hour display. The 6 o'clock register integrates a 12-hour chronograph counter and a moon phase with a golden moon against a starry sky. A central hand shows the date around the chapter ring.
The new Union Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Moon Phase is the caliber UNG-25.S1, an improved automatic movement based on the Valjoux 7751 and is decorated, assembled and regulated in Glashütte. It has a silicone output, an indexeless regulatory system and an extended 65-hour performance reserve. The decoration comprises Glashütte strips on the rotor, Peryl on the main plate and bladed screws.
Both versions come on a handmade blue leather strap with crocodile effect finish. The prices are EUR 7,500 for the two -tone model and EUR 3,600 for the stainless steel version. For more information, see Union-gashuette.com.
