First Blick-Zwei New editions of Vacheron Constantin in overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin

First Blick-Zwei New editions of Vacheron Constantin in overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin

The worthy successor to the 222 -model (which was still made by the brand as part of the historique collection) was the overseas Vacheron Constantin's vision of the luxury sports clock, a model that competed with the other two icons of the genre, the Royal Oak and the Nautilus. The overseas overseas, which is currently introduced in 2016, was presented in countless versions from time and date to chronograph or retrograde moon versions (to name just a few). There is even a big complication. For me, one of the most appealing versions, at least for me, was always the closed dial dial overseas Ewardual Calendar Ultra-Dünn, which has somehow forgot in recent years Years to use his skeleton counter. The slim, complex clock is now again in two new editions, one in full pink gold, one in white gold with a Burgundy dial.

Technically speaking, there is no further development. The two watches we see today are the same as at the first start of the model in 2016 – a watch that we have checked in detail here if you want the full details. In both cases we talk about a fairly large model with a diameter of 41.5 mm – that is, the clock wears a little shorter on the wrist than you would imagine. What is far more interesting is the thickness that is only measured at 8.1 mm. Sure, it is not thin like Bulgari (5.80 mm) or Audemars (6.30 mm), but it is still one of the thinnest QPs on the market and the same thickness as a 16202. Apart from that, you have more information on the dial.

In terms of design, we are in a classic territory in overseas with a barrel -shaped case that is overwhelmed by a Maltese, crowned notched bezel. The two editions are worn in a fixed gold bracelet-both very well done and comfortable through a folding cap with a light system (micro-adjustment). Thanks to a simple system, you can quickly switch to one of the two rubber straps that are contained with each of the watches (pink gold gets white and blue belts, white gold becomes white and Burgundy belts). An additional gold folding closure is also included.

There is a well -known movement inside the housing, the caliber 1120 QP. Based on a JLC movement that was once the focus of the 222, this ultra-thin automatic movement is now carried out by Vacheron Constantin in his own house, with an additional eternal calendar module being above. At 2.75 Hz it stores about 40 hours of electricity reserve and is certified by the trademark of Geneva. It shows the hours, minutes, the moon phases and the eternal calendar with day, month and a 48-month display with a leap year.

These two versions of the ultra-thin calendar in overseas are new for 2025. The first edition is about pink gold, which is located on the case, bracelet, dial, hands and applied markings. Even the moon corresponds to the dial. In contrast to its white gold housing and the Burgundy painted dial. The latter is equipped with sound-on-tone-sub-dials and moon and white gold markings and hands.

Both new versions of the Vacheron Constantin in overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-thin will be part of the permanent collection and at the price EUR 134,000including taxes. More details at vacheron-constantin.com.
