Introduction – The new type of blue tourbillon by de Bethune DB28XS

After the recently published publication of the DB25X Starry Varius, de Bethune refines its icons with the introduction of the DB28XS type of blue tourbillon, another clock that divides the design language and technical savoir faire into a more compact format. This latest creation is triggered onto the thin profile of the DB28XP type of blue (43 mm x 9.1 mm) and the bright heat-blistering titanium aesthetics. The familiar signatures are all available, such as the floating tabs, a crown at 12 noon and the delta -shaped main plate, which is now in a smaller case with remarkable comfort and ratio.

The new type of Blue Tourbillon DB28xs is made of Titan of the 5th grade. The case is mirrored before it is subjected to the proprietary thermal oxidation of the brand, which leads to a lively and permanent blue tone. The reserved 8 -mm thickness underlines ergonomic performance, whereby the patented floating box adapt to the wrist naturally. Sapphire crystals with double anti-reflecting treatment treatment systems provide a clear overview of architecture and mechanics.

The dial shows de Bethune's distinctive design: a titanium-hour ring reinforced with microlight, which is interrupted with polished markings, a circular, satin-shaped minute and a triangular bridge in the middle, all of which are bled and perfectly polished. In contrast to the previous DB28XP, there is no milky way pattern. Polished titanium hands mark the hours and minutes with clarity. At 6 a.m., the ultra-light 30-second tourbillon, a miniature ballet of the engineering system, is performing its performance. With a weight of only 0.18 grams, the titanium cage consists of 63 components, of which the lightest is less than thousands of grams and twice a minute is rotated with rapid 36,000 vibrations/hour.

The new type of Blue Tourbillon DB28xs uses the Kaliber DB2009V7, a hand -wrapped movement with 238 parts. Equipped with the most important innovations by de Bethune, it has a titanium balance with white gold inserts for stability, the patented balance with a flat terminal curve, a Silicon Escape Wheel and the brand's triple shock absorber. Energy is supplied by two self-regulating barrels to ensure a robust 5-day current reserve and at the same time maintain chronometric precision. Finishing is carried out to the uncompromising standards of de Bethune: handicraft steel parts, polished shots and the unique decorative signatures that make every caliber a visual and technical joy.

The type of Blue Tourbillon from DB28xs is worn on an extra-sung alligator strap with suitable lining and attached by a blusty titanium pin buckle, which completes its harmonious presence on the wrist. The price is USD 225,000. For more information, see www.debethune.ch.
