Gerald Charles Masterlink's new limited edition

Gerald Charles Masterlink's new limited edition

While the name Gérald Genta (1931-2011) is associated with some of the most successful and constant watch design of the 20th century, the designer also expressed his creativity through his own brand Gerald Charles. After the designer's death, the Gerald Charles brand was revived by Federico Zivani. Inspired by an idiosyncratic case that was designed by Gérald Genta in 2006, the brand uses the Maestro as the basis of all collections. Last year Gerald Charles dived his toes with the Masterlink, a jammed version of the Maestro cover with an asymmetrical integrated bracelet, in the luxury sports pool. Gerald Charles was presented at Geneva Watch Days 2025 and presents three limited gemstone set editions of the Masterlink.

As with previous editions, the new Masterlink models are available in compact 38 mm x 38 mm stainless steel sleeves with a lean height of only 7.99 mm. The two -stage bezel and the “smile” set up at 6 a.m. of the Maestro can be seen in the Masterlink. Equipped with a screwed crown with a prominent Clous de Paris grip, the housing is rated to a depth of 100 meters.

The upper white gold level of the bezel is set with 60 gemstones with baguette cut stones in blue sapphires, red sapphires or green Tsavorians. Due to the asymmetrical contours of the Maestro, each stone is tailor -made and invisible to hide the metal structure underneath, which leads to a seamless, smooth and snag -free surface. The silver dial is decorated with a vertical linear pattern, which consists of two separate levels, and 13 applied gemstone single stone indices 13, which are filled with Super Luminova.

One of the winning characteristics of the Masterlink is his asymmetrical integrated bracelet. The characteristic “smile” at the base of the housing is repeated in the curve of the first two links, which are gradually aligning, while the lines of the housing in the top left. The rejuvenation links constructed with hidden screws have vertically brushed and polished surfaces that flow seamlessly into the hidden butterfly closure.

The Masterlink is powered by an ultra-Slim 2,7 mm thickness automatic movement with a micro-rotor. The movement is developed exclusively for Gerald Charles in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. The movement strikes with a frequency of 3 Hz and delivers a power reserve of 50 hours.

The Masterlink-Edelstein set is limited to 10 pieces in every gem. Price is on request.
