Introduction – the stylish and really affordable Templum Tropolis

The French founder Alexandre Greze just started templum, a new microbrand that goes beyond the norm with the first tropolis collection. The trio of the watches has a stylish Guilloché bezel and sandwich dial in three colors, which brings a modern and sophisticated atmosphere into the wrist that the bank will not break. The Templum has its headquarters in Paris and assembles all watches in France and adapts them with leather straps made from French, while a proven automatic Miyota inside. Although we don't break against new ways here, the three watches seem to be well done and beat over their weight.

The 316L sleeve game made of stainless steel is on the smaller side with a diameter of 37 mm and a height of 11.2 mm (44 mm jerk-to-lug), but still very sustainable for many wrists. For the price there are impressive features such as an AR-sapphire crystal, a roaring crown and 200 meters of water resistance as well as a beautifully completed Guilloché bezel with an ordinary de-paris style. The fallback is solid, which is to be expected for this price for a 200 meter piece, and a brown or gray leather and a black rubber belt with quick-release levers are standard.

The Templum tropolis dial is available in three colors-black, blue and dune (USA)-and has a sandwich design with Super Luminova among the neckline indices. Arabic digits at 12, 3 and 9 a.m. are printed with a suitable lume, while a date window brings well into the surrounding hollow indices at 6 a.m. A detailed track with Arabic digits from 05 to 60 comprises the circumference, while a blanked flange has circular markings every five minutes. Open-working lessons and tiny hands have lume inserts, while the second time has a panel, which perfectly frames the date window and the round indices.

The Templum Tropolis is a Miyota 9015 automatic with 24 jewels, a stroke of 28,800 VPH (4Hz) and a power reserve of 42 hours. The functions include central hours, minutes, hacking seconds and date. It was introduced in 2009 that it is a reliable Japanese work animal with an accuracy assessment of -10/+30 seconds a day.

The Templum Tropolis models are on Kickstarter Live with a pre-order price of EUR 375 (before VAT). The deliveries for the first quarter of 2026 are not bad for a piece with such a love for detail and a depth rating of 200 meters. You can find more information on the Templum website and the Kickstarter page to receive pre -orders.
