MING was founded in 2017 by Ming Thein and is based in Kuala Lumpur. MING is a design-led indie brand with a distinctive and recognizable aesthetic based on contemporary design where minimalism, luminescence, layering and color are the key characters. MING's first diving watch was launched in 2019 with the prototype 18.01 Abyss Concept, leading to the regular production model 18.01 H41 Titanium Dive with a rotating bezel and a whopping depth rating of 1,000 m. During its short lifespan, MING's 37 series in 2024 evolved to include a diving watch in its family. However, in keeping with the 37's more elegant personality, the 37.09 Bluefin had to reduce some of its dive watch features, ditch its external rotating bezel to integrate it internally, and reduce its water resistance to a still very respectable 600 meters. One thing always leads to another, and MING's 37.09 has given rise to the new 37.11 Odyssey, a lightweight titanium diver's watch with a GMT complication.

When you think about it, there's probably no better combination for active globetrotters than a GMT diver's watch. This two-in-one combination offers the robust construction of a diver's watch and the practicality of a travel function. The 37.11 Odyssey features the collection's signature flared pagoda-style lug case and similar specifications to the Bluefin: a 38mm diameter, a slightly thinner 12.6mm height, and the same 44.5mm lug-to-lug width. The case head made of lightweight titanium weighs 41.9 grams and has a sporty, brushed surface. While the Odyssey is still a very competent diving watch, its water resistance has been reduced to 300 meters.

The two crowns on the right side of the case are large and easy to grip: the screw-down crown at 2 o'clock with a white circle and green luminous material is used for winding and setting the time and has an unlocking warning indicator; The crown at 4 o'clock with a blue luminous circle controls the internal, rotating sapphire dial. The lower crown has been optimized for improved tactile feel and remains fully functional even underwater.
However, unlike the Bluefin, the internal dial is no longer used to time dives. The rotating dial is now bi-directional and dedicated to the GMT function with 24 clicks for each of the 24 time zones. The dial is protected by a smoke-colored sapphire crystal, which reveals the movement underneath. However, with a smoked lens, visibility may be slightly impaired from certain angles, but the 24-hour markings on the lens are not only bright but also color-coded: orange for nighttime hours and blue for daytime. The independently adjustable GMT hand (which resembles an office-like GMT) has a fun, glowing white space shuttle at its tip.

The abstract hour indices, laser-cut into the top crystal, stand out in MING Polar White, a proprietary luminous material first used on the MING 37.02 Minimalist. The new handset with openwork hour hand features a novel gradient glow effect – be prepared for vivid nighttime action.
The 37.11 Odyssey is powered by a custom-made, automatic Sellita SW300-M2, visible through the sapphire crystal back and partially through the smoked sapphire crystal above the dial. This office GMT movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph, offers a 50-hour power reserve and features an anthracite finish on the skeletonized bridges and rotor.

The price of the watch varies depending on the bracelet. The model with the slate-colored FKM rubber strap retails CHF 4,950the new universal bracelet made of grade 2 titanium with folding clasp (pictured) for CHF 5,500and the grade 5 titanium polymesh strap for 5,950 euros. The Odyssey will be available to order on November 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. GMT. More information at ming.watch.com.
