Review – 10 Best Watches Launched at Dubai Watch Week 2025

Founded in 2015 by Ahmed Seddiqi, Dubai Watch Week began as a local event aimed primarily at collectors and enthusiasts with a strong emphasis on education. But over the last decade, this biennial event has become one of the most important moments in our watch calendar and transformed into a proper watch trade fair, especially this year when DWW celebrated its first decade of existence and the 75th anniversary of Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. We were really impressed by the scale of the 2025 edition, bringing together enthusiasts, brands and press from around the world. And if it were still necessary to explain what happened to this event, a look at the watches presented at Dubai Watch Week 2025 should provide a clue. Speaking of which, here are the top 10 releases from the MONOCHROME team.

Arnold & Son Constant Force Tourbillon 11 Platinum

What better way to celebrate a unique friendship between two of watchmaking's most historically influential figures? That's what Arnold & Son thought when it launched the Constant Force Tourbillon 11, honoring the connection between its founding father John Arnold and Abraham-Louis Breguet. It made a deep impression when it debuted with its white enamel dial, but now it is also available in platinum with a hand-engraved yellow gold dial! It is still based on the tourbillon regulated movement with its constant force mechanism on the watch dial. It is limited to 11 pieces and retails CHF 140,600 (VAT included.).

Chopard LUC Grand Strike

A true masterclass in percussion watchmaking, the LUC Grand Strike is the culmination of a decade of Chopard's experience with repetitive complications. It utilizes the brand's patented sapphire monoblock technology, where the gongs are an integral part of the crystal that covers the dial. Chopard doesn't hold back on the spectacle as literally everything is on display. The striking mechanism is activated by a single pusher in the crown. Next to it is a sliding mode selector switch for switching between Grande Sonnerie, Petite Sonnerie and Silence. The exceptionally sophisticated LUC Grand Strike costs 780,000 francs.

Daniel Roth Tourbillon Platinum

With the new Tourbillon Platinum Edition comes another platinum eye-catcher from Daniel Roth. It is an evolution of the tourbillon rose gold, both in material and color, which in turn represents a revision of Daniel Roth's original tourbillon C187 from 1988. The famous elliptical case features an anthracite-colored motherboard with pinstripe guilloche. The large tourbillon escapement with three second hands runs along the arcuate rails that divide a full minute into three parts, directly under the hour and minute dial. There is no limited quantity, this one has a price of 185,000 francs.

Ferdinand Berthoud Chronometer FB 3SPC x Seddiqi

Continuing with the exposed mechanics, Ferdinand Berthoud's latest watch, the Chronomètre FB 3SPC x Seddiqi. Made in collaboration with the retailer in the United Arab Emirates, it combines black and champagne gold tones with a platinum case. The escapement with a cylindrical hairspring is mounted on the left, with the barrel at noon and the seconds running at 6'. As always, the finish is amazing and everything is done in-house and by hand. Limited to only 3 pieces, exclusive to Seddiqi & Sons, price on request.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Three Gold Bridges

To mark the Laureato's 50th anniversary this year, Girard-Perregaux took the wraps off the spectacular Laureato Three Gold Bridges in Dubai. The luxury sports watch features a nearly transparent movement whose architecture is directly linked to the famous La Esmeralda pocket watch from 1889 and other iconic pieces. The movement cascades from the barrel with the microrotor behind it in the midday position, through the running gear for the central hands, to the tourbillon escapement at 6'. The limited edition of 50 pieces costs 162,000 CHF (excl. VAT).

H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Perpetual Moon Concept Meteorite

H. Moser & Cie draws inspiration from our nearest neighbor for its latest edition of the Streamliner. This Streamliner Perpetual Moon Concept Meteorite combines a slice of genuine Gibeon meteorite, finished with rose gold fumé, with a high-precision moon phase display at 6′. It is the debut of the astronomical display in the streamliner housing, here made of stainless steel. As always, the movement is manufactured and finished entirely in-house, including the hairspring! Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Beige

When it comes to watch sophistication, there is no way around Laurent Ferrier. The latest combination of Ferrier's beautiful pebble-shaped Classic Origin case, here in rose gold, is fitted with a reassuringly subtle beige dial. The soft tones of the dial harmonize perfectly with the precious metal case and the exquisitely crafted in-house LF116.01 waiting to be admired on the back. And of course it features the very tactile long blade click spring that LF fans love so much! The price for this is 43,000 francs.

Turning to gold, Ressence introduces the Type 1 Round RG, which despite its name features a grade 5 titanium case. Considered Ressence's core model, the Type 1 Round RG features a beautiful rose gold-plated (could we say salmon pink?) convex dial with a pleasant interplay of textures. In contrast, the numerals and hands on this new dial are edged/outlined in black, while the black dial features a set of beige hands and markers. Uwerk x Ulysse Nardin UR Freak

A friendly battle of the titans is probably the best way to describe the UR-FREAK. As a collaborative creative effort between Ulysse Nardin and his revolutionary Freak and Urwerk's disruptive period storytelling style, it's a match made in heaven for us! The sandblasted titanium case (based on the Freak ONE) houses Urwerk's traveling satellite hour display with a centrally mounted escapement and UN's grinder quick-winding system on the back. Only 100 copies will be made, priced at 100,000 francs every.

Further details, including a video interview with Jean-Christophe Sabatier (UN) and Martin Frei (Urwerk), can be found here.
