Introducing the Breguet Classique Répétition Minutes 7365, the next chapter in sound and substance

As part of its 250th anniversary celebrations, Breguet closed the year with a grand finale: the Experimental 1 and its innovative magnetic escapement. But there was another watch in the anniversary collection… the Classique Répétition Minutes 7365, a new limited edition minute repeater that is rooted in the brand's heritage while clearly pointing to its future. This latest creation combines the timeless artistry of Breguet's chiming watches with a completely new case design made of a special gold alloy and a fresh movement architecture with technical innovations.

The new Breguet Classique Répétition Minutes 7365 retains the grace and restraint you would expect from a Breguet Classique Repeater, but look closer and you'll see the evolution. The 39mm x 10.8mm case, made from 18K Breguet gold, an alloy of gold, silver, copper and palladium, replaces the Classique 7637's previous 42mm x 12.25mm proportions and now offers refined ergonomics thanks to integrated lugs and a gently curved profile introduced earlier this year with the Souscription 2025. The center of the case features the new “Quai de l'Horloge” motif, a nod to the Paris address where Abraham-Louis Breguet began his craft in 1775, and is framed by a polished domed bezel. As the first model of Breguet watches with a chiming mechanism, the 7365 is waterproof to a depth of 30 m thanks to special gaskets that seal the minute repeater slider.

The dial offers another novelty: a Grand Feu enamel finish in Bleu de France (French blue), created for this anniversary edition. Its deep, regal tone evokes the colors of Versailles and the French royal court, a poetic connection to Breguet's 18th-century customers. The minimalist dial is a classic Breguet model: applied numerals in polished Breguet gold, hollowed “Pomme” hands, the characteristic logo at 12 o’clock and the discreet hand-engraved secret signature at 6 o’clock.

While the design pays homage to the past, the mechanics advance. The new caliber 1896 replaces the long-standing 567.2 and introduces several innovations. It is the first Breguet minute repeater made entirely of Breguet gold, including its white gold bridges, plates and even the Breguet gold-gilded gongs. The caliber beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers increased stability and resistance to shock as well as a power reserve of 75 hours, which is achieved by an optimized gear train and barrel. Using a silicon escapement (balance spring, anchor and escape wheel), the movement is non-magnetic and less susceptible to temperature fluctuations, while Breguet Hallmark certification guarantees a precision of ±2 seconds per day, another first for the brand's repeating watches.

The hand-engraved bridges tell a symbolic story: the upper half shows the Quai de l'Horloge in Paris, while the lower half offers a view of the Vallée de Joux, home of Breguet's modern manufacture. Each piece is unique, individually numbered and features exceptional hand finishing. The watch is worn on a hand-stitched French blue alligator strap and fastens with an 18-karat Breguet gold folding clasp engraved with the same “Quai de l'Horloge” pattern found on the case.
