Although we regularly offer many very expensive watches and prices generally seem to increase year on year, it is reassuring to know that some brands still have good, honest and good value watchmaking. This year, the established names are joined by some new ones to offer a fairly wide range of styles, as well as materials and complications. If we round up the best value for money offers of 2025, we get not only an elegant and stylish dress watch, but also a chronograph, a full titanium case and bracelet watch and even a ceramic watch! So without further ado, here are the watches we have selected as the best accessible mechanical watches of 2025!
Tissot PR 516 automatic chronograph
First up is Tissot and its cool, racing-inspired PR 516 automatic chronograph. The successor to last year's PR 516 Chronograph Mechanical, this model is, unsurprisingly, equipped with an automatic chronograph movement. Still relying on the racing-inspired design of the 1970s, it adds variety with a new white and blue color scheme and a super cool Jubilee-style stainless steel bracelet. In terms of size, we're looking at a diameter of 41mm and a height of around 14mm, so it's a bit thicker than its hand-wound counterpart. Still, it offers great presence on the wrist and should fit most people perfectly well. At 2,145 eurosit's the most expensive on this list, but still a killer deal!

Raymond Weil Toccata Heritage
Raymond Weil made one of the most impressive comebacks to the limelight of accessible watchmaking with the Millesime collection and continues to make an impact with the Toccata Heritage series. This elegant dress watch has an elliptical case made of steel or optionally with rose gold PVD coating and is only 6.95 mm high, which is mainly due to the slim hand-wound caliber RW4100 (based on Sellita SW210-1B). Since nothing more than hours and minutes is needed, it hits the mark as a classic, pure dress watch. Worn on a leather strap with copper, silver or blue dials or on a multi-link stainless steel bracelet exclusive to the blue dial, it is available in stores 1,495 euros And 1,625 euroswhich offers amazing value for money.

Citizen Zenshin 60 Super Titanium
Citizen is a master of affordable watchmaking, but the brand's expertise extends far beyond just affordable prices. The Zenshin 60 Super Titanium also reaffirms the brand as a master of titanium and offers a good-looking sports watch made of full super titanium (i.e. extra hardened) for just a little 499 euros! The design is spot on and features fresh colors and beautifully textured dials. A nice touch is the small seconds offset between 4' and 5'. Thanks to the diameter of 40.5 mm and the height of 11.25 mm, the watch is nice and compact and is worn on a full titanium strap with a folding clasp. The movement is manufactured entirely in-house and has a power reserve of 60 hours. Talk about checking the boxes…!

Alpina Heritage Tropic Proof 34mm
At Watches & Wonders, Alpina presented a convincing and very faithful new edition of the Tropic Proof. Although it's a very simple watch from the start with no noticeable frills or distractions, the Tropic Proof impressed us with its 34 mm wide and 9.25 mm slim frame as well as the ultra-clear and easy-to-read dial. As part of the Heritage Collection, it perfectly revives a historic Alpina design from the 1960s. Available in white and black, powered by the hand-wound caliber AL-480 (base Peseux 7001) and worn on a beige Alcantara strap CHF 1,795. Some might argue that this isn't the most affordable timepiece on the market, which is true, but for us it still offers tremendous style at a reasonable price and a real heritage to look back on.

Earthen Company Summit
New to the game is Earthen Company, an initiative co-founded by THC Hong Kong co-founder Johnathan Chan. The brand's debut watch, the Summit, has perfectly captured the essential spirit of a field watch and combined it with a touch of modernity. It comes down to a ceramic case that comes in either white or black and three dial options. When you hear “ceramic,” you might assume it’s at least a four-figure price, but that’s not the case here. Earthen Company has managed to price the Summit at just 100 euros $899making it one of the most affordable ceramic watches on the market! Thanks to a diameter of 38 mm and a height of 10 mm, it also sits well on the wrist. The power comes from the Miyota 9039 automatic, so it's reliable too! Pretty impressive!

Vaer G5 Pacific Steel 39mm
Last but not least is the Vaer G5 Pacific Steel 39mm. This affordable travel watch features a Miyota Flyer or True GMT movement in a sturdy and good-looking stainless steel case, all at a price in between $935 And $1,085depending on the bracelet or bracelet you choose. Sure, the bezel may be reminiscent of the Rolex Explorer II, but overall it still looks pretty good! The black dial (it also comes in polar white) is very clean and easy to read, the size is great, and the strap and bracelet options ensure a comfortable fit. For us, the Jubilee-style bracelet would be the best choice as there's hardly any disappointment, but we'll leave it up to you to decide which combination looks best.
