Introducing The Sero Watch Company Signature, an honest and sensible dress watch from the Netherlands

The watch culture in the Netherlands has been growing steadily for many years, and we have another new and quite nice watch project to show the already diverse group of brands and watchmakers from our small country. The Sero Watch Company was founded by two Dutch people with a great passion for watches and developed over a period of four years. She celebrates her debut with the classically designed signature. The Signature is inspired by elements of dress watches from the 1930s to 1950s and is intended to combine an elegant look with reliable mechanics and, above all, a reasonable price! And from what we already know, the Signature meets the expectations of many enthusiasts!

Sero Watch Company is the joint project of Sergino Röntgen and Robert van de Stadt, both long-time watch collectors from the Netherlands with an interest in a wide range of watch genres and styles. Their project began with an honest and simple question that many of us have undoubtedly asked ourselves: What would the ideal modern dress watch look like? With a focus on proportion, style and execution rather than chasing trends, the Signature aims to deliver.

Since Sergino and Robert were inspired by a time when watches were, at least on average, much slimmer than they are today, it should come as no surprise that the Signature is a beautiful, compact watch overall. The diameter of the stainless steel case is 37.5 mm, paired with a height of 8.7 mm without and 9.5 mm with sapphire crystal. The finish looks simple but beautiful, with brushed flanks and polished tops. On the back, the caseback reveals more details about the watch and offers a view of the movement inside. The watch is also designed to be water resistant to 100m, which is handy.

The design dial is typical of a dress watch from the 1930s to 1950s and is exactly what Sergino and Robert were going for. The base dial is available in four color options: silver, champagne, blue and red, all with a vertical brushed finish. The standout features are the fine, machine-engraved Breguet-style numerals and the dotted minute/hour indicator on the outer edge of the dial. These engravings are electroplated black to add contrast and depth, and the time is displayed with thermally blued spade hands. The “Signature” lettering in the lower half is also machine engraved, but electroplated in a gunmetal tone. The finishing touch to this otherwise understated but balanced dial is the brand's name and its provenance printed in black at the top.

Despite its vintage appeal, the Sero Signature relies on modern Swiss mechanics in the form of the Sellita SW-210-1B. This hand-wound and rather slim caliber is based on the architecture of the Peseux 7001. Measuring 25.6 mm x 3.35 mm, it is the main reason for the Signature's pleasant dimensions. It runs at a speed of 21,600 vibrations per hour and has a power reserve of up to 45 hours. The Elaboré movement with Geneva stripes, blued screws and worm gears can be seen through the caseback. It's nothing spectacular, but overall very well made and, more importantly, reliable and easy to maintain if needed!

The Signature by Sero Watch Company is available with either an ostrich bone or Epsom leather strap with a stainless steel pin buckle or a period-inspired stainless steel Bead of Rice bracelet with a folding clasp. Sales begin at the end of the first quarter of 2026, prices start at 899 euros for the first 150 orders, 999 euros in the current pre-sale period and up to a final sales price of 1,199 euros.
