Introducing Mido's accessible Multifort 8 One Crown integrated sports watch gets a two-tone look

With the Multifort 8 One Crown, Mido transformed its angular, integrated sports model, the Multifort 8 Two Crowns, into a slimmer, more versatile watch. The collection now expands with a two-tone edition that maintains the fundamentals that define the One Crown. Rose gold accents give this latest release a slightly softer, lifestyle-oriented character; Prices remain firmly in the accessible segment.

The dimensions of the case remain unchanged and have a diameter of 40mm, a compact diameter of 44.86mm and a fairly slim profile of under 10mm. Thanks to the integrated bracelet construction, the Multifort 8 One Crown wears less heavily. The octagonal bezel, PVD-coated with rose gold on this version, is sharply faceted and alternates between polished and satin finishes for easy play. The crown adopts the geometry of the bezel and is screwed down to ensure 100m water resistance. Sapphire crystals on the front and back, both with anti-reflective coating, complete a robust yet sophisticated package.

The matte black dial features horizontal lines for texture. Rose gold-tone applied indexes and tri-faceted hands add warmth and contrast, all filled with white Super-LumiNova for easy legibility in low light. The sloping flange features a white minute track, and the date window is conveniently and discreetly located at 3 o'clock.

The watch is powered by caliber 80, also called Powermatic 80. This automatic movement, a further development of the legendary ETA 2824, runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz frequency) and offers a power reserve of 80 hours. The Nivachron hairspring increases resistance to shock and magnetism and is in line with the positioning of the Multifort as a reliable everyday watch.

The integrated steel bracelet is an essential part of the design. Satin-finished outer links contrast with rose gold-colored center links. A folding clasp with press buttons and a quick-change system make it easy to change the bracelet.

The Mido Multifort 8 One Crown Two-Tone is part of the regular collection and available immediately. The selling price is 1,150 euros or CHF 960; For more information, visit midowatches.com.
