Introducing the new Tissot T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph 2026 Limited Edition

Since becoming the official timekeeper of the MotoGP Championship in 2001, Tissot has remained firmly associated with the sport through trackside timing systems and clocks that reflect the design language and mechanical intensity of motorcycle racing. The T-Race MotoGP collection was first launched in 2003 and since then the brand has created many motorsport-inspired references, with a new series being introduced every year. For 2026, Tissot is introducing the new edition of the T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph in addition to the usual quartz models.

This new chronograph utilizes the case construction introduced with the latest generation of T-Race models, a design that brought logic and maturity to one of Tissot's boldest collections in a long time. The 45mm stainless steel case is large but thoughtfully constructed. Its multi-layered construction evokes the mechanics of a motorcycle: engine cooling fins along the center of the case, oversized pushers inspired by control levers and a brake disc-shaped bezel with a forged carbon insert and a black PVD coating. The water resistance is 100 m, which corresponds to the positioning of the watch as a robust sports chronograph.

The dial is openworked, just like the 2025 edition, placing the movement front and center. A white-on-black tachymeter scale frames the display and the hands and applied markings in nickel black are filled with Super-LumiNova. The red second hand of the central chronograph is a link to the MotoGP color codes and racing graphics. The small seconds subdial is located at 9 o'clock, the 30 minute counter is opposite at 3 o'clock, while the 12 hour counter is represented only by a small hand and a 12 marker: there is no subdial ring or track.

Just like the T-Race MotoGP 2025 model, the T-Race MotoGP 2026 automatic chronograph is powered by the Valjoux A05.951, developed specifically for the series, an evolution of the A05.231, itself a modernized version of the legendary Valjoux 7750/7753. The movement works at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring. It offers resistance to magnetism and long-term stability. The chronograph is operated via a cam system and the skeleton construction allows a partial view of the gear train and chronograph movements.

The 2026 T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph is worn on a red rubber strap and each piece comes in a helmet-shaped presentation box. The new Tissot T-Race MotoGP automatic chronograph is limited to 2,026 numbered pieces and available at the same price CHF 1,965 including taxes. For more information, visit tissotwatches.com.
