Introducing a special MB&F LM Perpetual EVO and a new LM Perpetual Baguette for Seddiqi's 75th anniversary

Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons is the leading watch and jewelry retailer in the United Arab Emirates and the name behind the biennial Dubai Watch Week, which has now become a major event in the industry calendar. To mark the 75th anniversary this year, several partner brands celebrated the event with special editions. MB&F has enjoyed the support of Ahmed Seddiqi for more than two decades and, to mark the retailer's anniversary, presents two exceptional limited editions: seven LM Perpetual EVO pieces and five LM Perpetual Baguette Diamonds, both with blue accents.

In 2015, MB&F launched the Legacy Machine Perpetual, the brand's most complicated watch ever developed with independent watchmaker Stephen McDonnell. The McDonnell turned traditional perpetual calendars on their head and reinvented the QP complication from the ground up, with a standard 28-day month and an ingenious “mechanical processor” with a series of superimposed disks that added the additional days required for each individual month. LM Perpetual Baguette Diamonds

Another aspect of the LM Perpetual is the exceptional viewing pleasure of its fully integrated movement, visible on the top of the movement plate. To mark Seddiqi's 75th anniversary, the LM Perpetual made of stainless steel is set with a bezel made of 48 baguette-cut diamonds for the first time. The dial is finished in an attractive turquoise tone to highlight the mechanical spectacle and the majestic balance wheel at the center. To improve readability, the suspended subdials that display the time, day of the week, month and date are black with blued hands. The watch, limited to five pieces, is equipped with a hand-sewn white alligator leather strap and a steel folding clasp. The price is on request.

LM Perpetual Evo

In 2020, MB&F decided to strengthen its LM Perpetual to withstand the knocks and bangs of real life. Known as the LM Perpetual EVO, the development resulted in a redesigned case with the brand's patented Flex Ring, a proprietary ring-shaped damper designed to protect the perpetual calendar movement. Other design considerations included the sportier hollowed-out lugs, the more recessed elongated pushers and, to ensure water resistance to 80 m, the presence of a screw-down crown and rubber strap.

The LM Perpetual EVO for Seddiqi is no less spectacular than its more classic counterpart. It is housed in a lightweight yet durable titanium case and features the same turquoise blue color for the subdials, contrasting with the anthracite dial. The watch is equipped with a sporty white rubber strap and a titanium folding clasp. A limited edition of seven pieces, the price is upon request.
